The New York Youth Support Program (NYYSP) follows a strength-based approach to support children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and their families, helping them stay together in their homes and communities. Without our services, these children might face long-term care in psychiatric hospitals or legal issues leading to incarceration or probation. Our services are respite care psychosocial Rehabilitation Service, Community Psychiatric Support Treatment Service and family support. We collaborate with the CFTSS and HCBS Agencies to meet our clinical, educational and Social needs. We aim o expand our services to all five NYC boroughs, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties on Long Island This mission supports our application for the CFTSS and HCBS Waiver Subcontracor qualification under he Social Security Act Section 1995 (c) Law.
It is recognized that children with mental illness or academic challenges need coordinated support services. Our program plays a vital role in the community by connecting these children with essential services, advocating for parents, and helping families navigate complex systems. We provide support in special education, social services, housing, mental health, crisis intervention, skill building, and tutoring in Math and English for those with language difficulties.
